Here we have a nicely done 4 1/2" Burrell Agricultural Traction Engine. Made to the Plastow design, she is fully tested, sorted, certificated and ready to rally. You may recognise that we've had this one in before a few years ago. We used this one a few times back then one on our evening pub runs, and can confirm that she's a gudun! We put a brand new set of steel tubes in before she left back in 2016 and everything in there looks to have been well looked after.
The boiler is a professional bell steel job, and in nice and tidy condition. She can of course be given a fresh boiler test before delivery and is in fine fettle and ready to rally when the world reopens!
Properly fitted with vulcanized rubbers and mechanically tight. The engine has obviously seen some use as indicated by the polished nature of the paintwork, but the bushes are all still comfortably tight and slop is minimal. The photos will hopefully follow very shortly and give you the general idea though.
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get! We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
